We will fess up; we have caught ourselves humming the catchy tune several times before berating our idle brains. But, when Shudh Desi Gaane came out with the parody of Gerua, we had to share it with you, because Shah Rukh himself is doing some good-hearted trolling in it, and we are absolutely loving it! We keep praying that our beloved stars stop churning out garbage movies in the name of entertainment, and that the fans stop paying hundreds of bucks to turn them into multi-million blockbusters. But, who has the time for such bagawat in a nation where actors and cricketers are put on the same pedestal as gods and goddesses? And, let us be honest, we would happily sit in stunned silence as we watch the brilliant show that is CID, just because Shah Rukh made a special appearance there to promote Dilwale.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has released in the theatres, and many are simply not happy. Sooraj Barjatya is back with his Prem after nine peaceful ‘sanskaar-free’ years, minus Alok Nath aka babuji this time. All of us have ‘that’ friend who was and is still a fan of his saccharine sweet love stories cum family sagas, and has already pakaoed us with the title track on repeat!

As a malham for your soul, we bring to you the parody version of the title track, The Amar Prem Song by Shudh Desi Gaane!

Love is timeless, so is Bhai! Dedicated to all the Salman Khan fans, Shudh Desi Gaane presents ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo…

Posted by Shudh Desi Gaane on Wednesday, 11 November 2015

Salman Khan is almost 50 while Sonam is just 30. It is true that our beloved Khans do not look ‘that old’, but the fact remains that they have been working with actresses who are young enough to be their nieces.

This was not the first time Shudh Desi Gaane took a dig at BhaiWatch The Rip-Roaringly Funny Parody Of Salman Khan’s Main Hoon Hero Tera!

But, let us carry on with the infantilisation of women in mainstream media, because, well ‘Love is timeless. So is Bhai’. No? Imagine how interesting it would be to watch Madhuri Dixit being paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor, and not just for a song. If we are ready for a Cheeni Kum, we can give this a shot as well.

salman khan main hoon hero tera

Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab’s son, Sooraj Pancholi and Sunil Shetty’s daughter, Athiya Shetty are debuting in the Nikhil Advani directed movie, Hero, which is set to be released on September 11, 2015. The Pancholi offspring has already gained some infamy thanks to the Jiah Khan suicide controversy. But, you can decide later if you already hate him or not due to his involvement with this case; because this parody of the Main Hoon Hero Tera song is nothing short of comedy gold.

Salman Khan “sang” the (heavily auto-tuned) Main Hoon Hero Tera song, which has created quite a stir among the audience. Clearly, Sallu bhai is taking his role as Sooraj and Athiya’s ‘Godfather’ quite seriously, by going out of his way to launch these two star kids. And, the Shudh Desi Gaane team has paid a wonderfully funny tribute to all the lessons Salman is giving out to these newcomers to make it big in the industry. We will get to see how much effect the ‘virgin Godfather’ actually has on their Bollywood careers soon enough.
